The FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN will join the operational team at E-Packaging Srl, based in Desio, in a full-time, on-site role. On a day-to-day basis, the technician will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and testing packaging machinery and systems at customer sites, ensuring the equipment operates correctly. The Field Service Technician will manage routine and non-routine maintenance, diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and carry out requested updates and technical modifications. They will also be responsible for providing technical training to client staff on the use and maintenance of the machinery, as well as compiling technical reports on the work performed. The role involves frequent travel to domestic clients and, when required, international clients, with a strong focus on service quality and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

The candidate should possess solid technical skills in the fields of electromechanics, mechatronics, or industrial automation, with the ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Previous experience as a field service technician or industrial machinery service technician is preferred, along with familiarity with maintenance and troubleshooting.

Good problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently while on business trips, and a knack for direct customer interaction are desirable.

The profile is rounded out by a good knowledge of basic computer tools, a willingness to travel frequently, a Class B driver’s license, and a technical diploma (e.g., in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or mechatronics engineering).

A basic knowledge of technical English, a focus on workplace safety, and the ability to work in multicultural teams are preferred qualifications.
